Does linking Aadhaar automatically enable DBT?
No. Banks must register your account with NPCI for DBT. Ask specifically for DBT enablement.
How long does mapping take?
Usually 24–48 hours after your bank submits the request. Re-check via UIDAI Bank Mapper.
Why did my payment fail?
Common reasons: non-DBT account, account inactive/frozen, or KYC mismatch. Contact your bank.
Is there any fee?
Registration is free at most banks. Some CSCs may charge a nominal service fee.
